Yuzuru Sunada, a cycling photographer, was born in Toyama, Japan in 1961. In 1989 started working as a photographer. After graduating from Hosei University, he moved to Milan, Italy, and began covering cycling in 1989. He later became one of the few photographers in the world allowed to shoot on a motorcycle during major races. His photos have been published in media in many countries, including USA, UK, France, Italy, Belgium, Australia and Japan, etc.. His main coverage to date includes 32 Tour de France, 32 Giro d'Italia, and 31 Road race World Championships. He moved his base to Japan in 2021 and served as photo manager for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
